I am personally drawn to shaping these types of boards. I have done several versions of these boards, and I finally created a template which I think is balanced and will perform in overhead waves. The board features a traditional rocker profile (kicked nose and low tail) for lots of drive. The rails gradually turn down from nose to tail creating a perfect edge for riding along the face of a steep wave. The board can be surfed a single fin or a tri-fin depending on preference, with more tail edge used in the tri-fin setup.
