#61: Classic Longboard for a Classic Car Show

This 9'6 triple stringer long board will be auctioned off this summer at a car meet in Santa Barbara hosted by the Santa Barbara Woody Club.  The board is 23 inches wide and 3 1/8 inches thick.  It should be a fun summer board for whomever draws the lucky raffle ticket!

# 58-61: Two Fish, a Thruster and a Log

I've been shaping up a storm lately.  I've done two fish (5'4 and 6'3), a high-performance short board (5'7), and a triple stringer log (9'6).  Going to send the log off for a professional glass job.  The two fish and the short board will be done in house.  Here's some pics of the shaped blanks.

Balsa # 57

I started this board several months back for a customer who had some balsa lumber he wanted made into a board. It was quite a process gluing up the blank, milling rocker into it, cutting the outline and shaping the board. Then came the whole glassing and finmaking process. This kind of project really makes you appreciate the history of the surfboard and what previous shapers have gone through to build better boards. Hope Bruce gets this thing in the water soon!
